I Found Jesus in the Middle of My Mess

In the darkest chapter of my life, when everything felt broken and hopeless, I encountered a love I never expected.

Bible notes daily

When life falls apart, God meets us exactly where we are.

There was a season in my life when everything collapsed all at once.
My mind was tired.
My heart was bruised.
My soul felt abandoned.

And the worst part?
I didn’t even have the strength to pray out loud.
My cries were silent. My spirit was numb. My life felt like a mess I didn’t know how to escape.

But that’s where Jesus met me — not when I was strong, not when I had the perfect faith, not when I felt “holy,”
but right in the middle of my brokenness.

This is how He found me.
And maybe… how He’s finding you too.

In the darkest season of my life, I found Jesus waiting for me in the middle of my mess. A story of brokenness, silent prayers, and God’s unexpected rescue. Includes Bible verses, encouragement, and a devotional resource for deeper healing.

Hitting Rock Bottom

Rock bottom is not a place you choose — it’s a place life drags you into.

For me, it felt like:

• waking up exhausted
• carrying anxiety like a hidden backpack
• pretending to be okay
• feeling far from God
• drowning quietly in my own thoughts

Nobody saw the silent tears.
Nobody heard the midnight prayers I whispered into my pillow.
Nobody understood the heaviness pressing on my chest.

But God did.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Jesus wasn’t waiting for me to be whole.
He came to me while I was still shattered.

A Silent Cry for Help

Sometimes the loudest cry… is the one no one hears.

I didn’t talk to anyone.
I didn’t ask for help.
I didn’t know how to put my pain into words.

But heaven heard what my mouth couldn’t say.

“When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2
God didn’t scold me for my weakness.
He didn’t shame me for hiding.
He simply came close.

He sat with me in the darkness I didn’t know how to escape.
He held me in the storm I didn’t know how to calm.

Jesus Pulled Me Out of the Pit

There was a day — a quiet, unexpected moment — when I felt Him whisper:

“You’re not alone. I’m right here.”

Not in a church.
Not during a worship night.
Not during a retreat.
But while I was crying in my bedroom, feeling unworthy and unseen.

“He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and mire.” — Psalm 40:1–2

I didn’t climb out on my own.
I didn’t heal myself.
I didn’t fix anything.
I simply surrendered, and Jesus did the lifting.

Healing didn’t happen overnight.
But I learned this:

The Rock of Christ is the only foundation that never breaks, even when everything else does.

The Rest Found Only in Jesus

The world tells you to “be strong.”
Jesus tells you:

“Come to Me… and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

I didn’t need a perfect prayer.
I didn’t need flawless faith.
I didn’t need to pretend.

I just needed Him.
And He came running.

If You’re in Your Own “Messy Middle”

Let me remind you of this:

• Jesus is not intimidated by your tears.
• He is not shocked by your brokenness.
• He does not reject your weakness.

He meets you in the pit,
He holds you in the valley,
and He restores you on the Rock.

A Devotional to Walk With You: Standing on the Rock

I created a devotional book called Standing on the Rock — a journey through healing, surrender, and rebuilding your life on Christ alone.

In this devotional, you’ll find:

Pages for journaling your prayers
Guidance to rebuild your faith on Jesus — the unshakable Rock

If you’re ready to begin your own healing journey with God:

👉 Explore Standing on the Rock here
(Standing on the Rock)

This book is for women who feel lost, tired, and overwhelmed — the same place Jesus met me.

You don’t have to fix yourself.
You don’t have to pretend to be okay.
You don’t have to hide your pain.

Jesus meets us in the middle of the mess —
not after we clean it up.

And sometimes, the greatest miracle is realizing:
“He was with me all along.”

Here are the verses that carried me when my world was falling apart — the scriptures that reminded me that Jesus does His deepest work in the darkest moments.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

“When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you.”

“I waited patiently for the Lord… He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.”

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
